Sun comes up, it's Tuesday morning

Tonight the rain and thunder are covering up the sounds of the Bayfront Blues Festival. I hope that this is not an event that Lillie will enjoy when she is older. I will, of course, try to introduce her to as much music as possible, but a whole festival of Blues? It seems so redundant, Like a meal of different breads.
Lillie is sleeping and has not been disturbed by the weather. She sleeps with a blanket over her on the cooler summer nights, and wakes up asking for equal parts "mama" and "elmo". I am not her #1 or 2 request, but believe I rank somewhere near the top, maybe after "me eat" but before "down".
Right now I want to shelter her and keep her away from so many things, the same things that we all say made us better people, or stronger, or tested us. That is all crap. A lot of stuff hurts and I don't want that for her.

My One Book Philosophy

Facebook is killing this blog...but I will not let that happen. After being on Facebook for a while, it has lost its' appeal, and after the recent format changes I am done posting on it. So, this going to be the place for Lillie updates for all two of you that read it.
Lillie is now almost 18 months old. She is crazy beautiful and getting SO big. She sings, babbles, runs, crawls up stairs, dances, pets the animals, and feeds herself. Every single day goes by too fast to even keep up with all of the changes. Life is good. My netflix cue is all Baby Einstien and Young Guns II.
